Last night I had the privilege to attend the USA vs. Mexico soccer friendly at the Alamodome in San Antonio. I was definitely excited leading up to the game, but once we actually got to the stadium and saw all the fans for each team (probably a 50/50 split honestly), things just got so much more intense. I would say I’ve been to a couple of  of exciting sporting events (Jeter diving into stands, Peyton Manning’s second playoff game, my school upsetting #1 D-1AA football team in the country) but this was hands down the coolest sporting event I’ve ever seen live. Everything from the pre-game national anthems, to the goals, to the big time win. The crowd was out of control, and I think I had goosebumps for most of the game. I could only imagine what it would be like to see a live World Cup game where your country was playing.
